HEAR FROM OUR GUESTS

Certainly an Epic trip in the Dolomites!!! Mattia and his crew could not have done a better job.Our support van carried everything we could possibly need and having 2 riders accompanying us made sure everyone stayed safe and had a great time. 5 stars would not be a high enough rating. They were that good!!!!!

DAVID S. • USA • ALPS & DOLOMITES

HEAR FROM OUR GUESTS

Mattia was an excellent guide who was an excellent judge of terrain and our abilities. Whether riding or sitting at a cafe his presence as part of our group was always a pleasure. His local knowledge made the non riding portion of our trip a better experience too. Highly recommend!

KENT M. • USA • ALPS & DOLOMITES

HEAR FROM OUR GUESTS

While many of the routes can be simply followed by using GPS, the local knowledge of good guides is extremely valuable. Mattia was great right from the start. His English is impeccable. He answered all his emails promptly and thoroughly. Once we arrived in Bormio he met with us and was in constant communication with the group. He could not have been friendlier or more professional. I could not recommend Mattia and Vago Cycling any more highly. You will not go wrong!

The Sella Ronda

A SPECIAL MOMENT

Many of our guests describe the Sella Ronda as the most beautiful ride of their life and honestly, we get it.
This iconic loop around the Sella Massif connects four mountain passes: Campolongo, Pordoi, Sella and Gardena, wrapping you in nonstop panoramic beauty.
The bonus magic? We always suggest riding it at sunrise because the great rides deserve the best light, quiet roads and that first espresso stop while the mountains are still waking up.

Day by day

DAY 1

Welcome to the Dolomites
Cyclist riding uphill toward the Sella Pass surrounded by dramatic Dolomite cliffs and pine forests

The Dolomites, UNESCO World Heritage and cycling paradise, welcome you with their soaring limestone peaks and legendary climbs.
Our week kicks off with a spectacular ascent to Passo Falzarego, featuring a dramatic tunnel carved into the rock and stunning mountain views; a perfect way to set the tone for the days ahead.
After the ride, settle in, raise a glass, and savor the alpine flavors of your first dinner. This is just the beginning.

• DISTANCE: 50 km (30 mi)
• ELEVATION: 1300 m (4200 ft)

TODAY’S TRIVIA
The Dolomites were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009 for their exceptional beauty and unique geology. A masterpiece shaped by time, ice and tectonic forces.

DAY 2

Giau, Falzarego and Valparola
Three cyclists climbing the snowy Passo Giau with Cinque Torri in the background

Time to step things up with one of the Dolomites’ most iconic loops. We’ll warm up on the gentle Campolongo Pass, followed by 20 km (12 mi) of rolling terrain before tackling the mighty Passo Giau, one of the giants of the area with its relentless gradients and jaw-dropping alpine views.
After a long sweeping descent, our next climb is Passo Falzarego, this time from the eastern side — a majestic ascent framed by the towering Cinque Torri. And just when you think your legs have given it all, one final push awaits: one last kilometre (a little over half a mile) to reach the highest point at Passo Valparola, a strikingly beautiful pass rising into a rocky landscape surrounded by giant peaks.
Tonight, raise a glass and say cheers. You have earned every sip.

• DISTANCE: 80 km (50 mi)
• ELEVATION: 2400 m (8200 ft)

TODAY’S TRIVIA
The Dolomites are home to the Ladin people, one of Europe’s oldest linguistic minorities. They still speak their ancient Rhaeto-Romance language and keep unique traditions alive in these valleys.

DAY 3

The Sella Ronda
Solo rider on the Gardena Pass beneath towering Dolomite rock formations

Get ready for one of the most memorable rides of your life: the breathtaking Sellaronda.
This stunning loop circumnavigates the dramatic Sella Massif, featuring four iconic climbs: Campolongo, Pordoi, Sella, and Gardena—each offering its own rhythm and jaw-dropping views. After the final winding descent back to town, treat your legs to a soothing massage and enjoy a well-earned moment of relaxation at the hotel spa.

• DISTANCE: 50 km (30 mi)
• ELEVATION: 1400 m (4600 ft)

TODAY’S TRIVIA
At the summit of Passo Pordoi stands a monument to Fausto Coppi, the Campionissimo who conquered these roads and still inspires cyclists from around the world.

DAY 4

Fedaia, Pordoi and Campolongo
A cyclist tackling the scenic hairpins of Passo Fedaia near the Marmolada Glacier

Time to close the week in style and with a bang. Passo Fedaia, with its infamous relentless stretch from Malga Ciapela, is today’s main challenge. A bountiful al fresco picnic with stunning views over the Marmolada is the perfect way to recharge before tackling the western side of Passo Pordoi and Campolongo, the final effort of this Dolomites bike adventure.
Back in Corvara, we’ll celebrate another fantastic ride and the end of an unforgettable week with one last feast at the dinner table. What a ride it’s been. Well done!

• DISTANCE: 90 km (55 mi)
• ELEVATION: 2700 m (8800 ft)

TODAY’S TRIVIA
In the 2022 Giro d’Italia, Passo Fedaia was the stage where Jai Hindley launched his decisive attack. His move on the brutal stretch after Malga Ciapela (5.3 km at 11.3%) earned him the Maglia Rosa, which he defended the next day to win the Giro in Verona.

DAY 5

Arrivederci
Group of cyclists posing by the Corvara sign with the Sella massif in the background

After an unforgettable week of riding, it’s time to say goodbye.

But not for long: we have a feeling this is just the beginning of your journey with Vago. Thanks for riding with us and see you for your next adventure!

Sunset light illuminating the Dolomites peaks in a warm red glow, the famous Enrosadira phenomenon seen from the Tre Cime di Lavaredo

The Enrosadira

A REAL GEM

One of the Dolomites’ greatest natural wonders is the Enrosadira: the magical moment when the pale mountain peaks seem to catch fire at sunrise or sunset, glowing pink, orange and red.

This striking phenomenon happens because of the unique mineral composition of the Dolomia rock, which reflects the light in spectacular colours. For centuries, the local Ladin people have told legends about this “burning of the mountains”, a natural masterpiece that makes the Dolomites unlike anywhere else in the world.
